Information we collect and how we use it:

AUTOMATICALLY LOGGED INFORMATION

When you visit the AtlasGuru website, our hosted servers collect the basic technical information necessary to maintain the connection with and functionality of your browser, ensure the proper operation of our site, and recognize abuses such as attempts to overwhelm our servers (DDOS attacks), etc.; namely:

  • the IP address you're using to access our site,
  • which browser and operating system you're using to view our site,
  • the pages you view while accessing our site, and
  • the timestamps of your visit.

We use such information analyze how people use our site (e.g. pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform), and the geographic areas from which people access our site. We do not use automatically logged information to attempt to identify who is using our site except in cases of abuse.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

We use the information you voluntarily provide us to generate suggested itineraries, analyze travel trends and preferences, and infer travel intent. We will share your information with our advertising partners - particularly in the travel industry - for purposes of allowing them to generate customized advertising for goods and services that may be of interest specifically to you. We also use such information to create anonymized platform usage reports and to improve our AI models and algorithms.

To the extent our site contains or generates links to third party websites (whether in the form of advertising or otherwise), clicking on those links and visiting such third party sites subjects you to the policies of those third party sites (including but not limited to terms of use and privacy policies), over which we obviously have no control.

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will comply with all applicable data breach laws regarding notification, remediation, etc.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

Pursuant to Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(d)(1) and § 1798.145(a)(7) we are exempt from the California Consumer Privacy Act. Nonetheless, at your request we will be happy to delete your or your organization's information from our files to the extent you do not enter into a business relationship with us.

EU RESIDENTS

We do not intentionally target people in the EU and thus we are exempt from the GDPR. See EDPB, "Guidelines 05/2021 on the Interplay between the application of Article 3 and the provisions on international transfers as per Chapter V of the GDPR" (Nov. 18, 2021). GDPR Article 14, Paragraphs 5(a) and (b), and Article 27, Paragraph 2 also apply. In any event, we do not collect any personal data as defined in Art. 4 of the GDPR, except that which you voluntarily provide us, which of course is data collected "with consent" pursuant to GDPR Article 7, and because we collect all information about you directly from you, we are neither a "controller" nor a "processor."
